Things You Didn’t Know About Me Thursday- Survey Edition

things you didn't know about me thursday

I received another Liebster Award by one of my favorite nurses and bloggers over at Running in Scrubs! She’s kind of the most adorable thing and a sweetheart. Thanks Kelly!

Since it’s Thursday, I thought I’d just answer her questions as my Things You Didn’t Know About Me Thursday post!

1. What is your favorite place you’ve visited?

Oh man, this one is hard. I backpacked through Europe last January with Kyle (which reminds me I need to do another recap post of that) and we visited so many amazing places. Probably between Florence, Italy and Germany.

On top of Il Duomo di Firenze (in Florence, Italy).

In the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany

2. First concert?

Lol I’m pretty sure it was Shania Twain with my family. I don’t even like country music, but I think I liked her.

3. What food could you eat forever and never get sick of?

Frozen yogurt

4. What is your guilty pleasure?

see #3

5. Do you have a pet?

I currently have 3 pets: 1 dog (Sienna), 2 cats (Snickers and Skyler)

running sienna

Snickers (black kitty) and Skyler (white kitty)

6. Biggest pet peeve?

OMG how much time do you have? You can check out a few pet peeves from this post.

I really hate when people are rude and blame other people for something these “other people” didn’t have any control over. Since that sentence made no sense, example: A hotel guest yells at someone at the front desk because their reservation was lost. I’m sorry, but I highly doubt the person you are yelling at was the actual person who lost your reservation. calm yourself.

Line cutters

That’s all I can come up with at the moment, but I promise I have many.

7. Beach or mountains?

Mountains. Open water freaks me out. I’ll go MAYBE thigh-deep.

8. Bravest thing you’ve ever done?

Aww man. This one is hard. And it’s making me look like a baby who has never done anything. I’ll go with the super sappy response then.

Bravest thing I’ve done was go out with Kyle. We were BFFs before we started going out, so technically dating could have ruined a friendship. I mean, this could have been us

But luckily it all worked out 🙂

9. What was your favorite class in school?

Okay, so now I’m curious, what’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?? I hope your answers are not as lame as mine.

Food you would never get sick of?

  1. Wow your Snickers looks SO MUCH like my Oskie! Black cats rule. 🙂 (We have another cat too and he’s cool, but Oskie was my first love.)

Food I never get sick of? There is this one sushi roll at this restaurant near my house that I’m pretty sure I could eat every day. Followed by frozen yogurt. I will never ever turn down frozen yogurt.

The bravest thing I’ve ever done was when I sold/packed up all my stuff and moved to Los Angeles by myself. It was definitely an adventure!

    1. Awww! Yes black cats rule! Oskie- did you go to Cal by any chance (Oskie is our mascot)?

YUM! Sushi and frozen yogurt- I’m in!

I would definitely consider that brave! I don’t think I could ever do that!

  2. Your pets are soo cute and I am admittedly not the biggest cat fan. The food I just could never get sick of is popcorn (popped by me over the stove in coconut oil)…I dream about it, no joke!

  3. haha you are so cute. i also loved French (even though i’m pretty sure nobody else loved my accent), but we’re opposites on the water thing — i will swim in anything and probably should have been born in Hawaii and grown up as a surf bum. love it. i may have to steal this survey. 🙂

  4. Bravest thing was probably skydiving or bungee jumping. Or moving to another country by myself for my masters if we are being more philosophical than literal 😉 would never get sick of pizza. Duh 😉

    1. OMG I would consider all of those brave!! I would never skydive or bungee jump since I’m scared of heights. And I don’t think I could move to another country by myself either! I’m a big fat chicken. Lol totally knew you would write pizza, and I completely agree with that answer!

  5. I LOVE that you mentioned dating Kyle as the bravest thing you’ve ever done. I absolutely think Zach and I taking a chance on each other was one of the most brave things either of us have done, and lemme tell ya. Taking a big risk is scary, but the outcomes are so worth it 🙂

  6. Good for you and Kyle going for it! Obviously it’s workin’ out for ya 😉 But I know how scary that change in dynamic can be. I don’t know what the bravest thing I’ve done so far is… does that mean I’m a wuss? LOL. I could eat french fries forever and not stop. I’m a carb loving fiend! But my stomach wouldn’t agree with that.

    1. Hehe yes it’s working out quite nicely 😉 Lol nope, you’re not a wuss cause my answer was the best thing I came up with…
OMG fries. Love me some fries. My ass, love handles, and gut would not agree.

  7. I could never get sick of chocolate, cheese, or bread. Seriously, those are my top 3 foods. The bravest thing I’ve ever done is sing in front of people, it’s freakin scary!

    1. OMG cheese and bread- definitely ate that as meals in France haha. So. Good. Holy crap- I would definitely call that brave. I could never do that because 1) I can’t sing 2) Wayyy to scary for this chicken.

  8. Bravest thing I guess was going on a helicopter tour of Maui on my honeymoon. Flying scares the crap out of me so a little helicopter seemed even scarier, although in the end it was a super smooth ride, way smoother than an airplane flight with turbulence! Oh and whitewater rafting was brave for me because I’m a big wimp.

      1. The surprising thing is that it was less terrifying in the helicopter than in the airplane. I am not a good flyer and I expected the helicopter to be much worse, but the ride was so smooth that I was impressed at how not scared I was!

  9. I love the picture of your cats big blue eyes so cute! The bravest thing I have ever done is go skydiving…but I’m not sure if thats brave or just stupid haha. The food I would never get sick of would have to be bread I LOVE Carbs!

  10. We LOVED Florence! I could eat guacamole all day every day.
Bravest thing is probably that one time when I found my stolen bike, and then passed a pet store that was on fire and I saved each of the animals by taking them outside one at a time (saving the snakes for last). No wait, that was Pee Wee Herman. Nevermind.

    1. Florence is soooo amazing! And I know, I feel quite stupid for forgetting about guacamole when I answered that question…PAHAHAHA OMG I totally bought your story cause I’m a gullible loser like that…awkward

      1. Hahaha, I was afraid you wouldn’t get that it was from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, so I had to clarify that at the end.
BTW, did I ever tell you about the time I flew on a rocket ship to an asteroid heading for earth and put a bomb on it to save everyone?

  11. Favorite food – chocolate and carbs – probably why I run so much. The brave part is hard. I feel like anytime I face my fear big or small it is a big BRAVE moment. The two that jump out are taking a chance with my partner of only 4 years moving 1500 miles away from home to make a new home with him (great choice now 10 years later still going). The other brave moment is signing up for my first marathon and then completing it. Now wondering why I have to be so brave and do it again! 🙂

  12. Well you know my favorite food is Thai, I’m craving some Tom Kha Gai soup right this second! I think the bravest thing depends on if you mean adventure-brave or life-brave…the most life-brave thing I’ve ever done was studying abroad in Spain by myself without knowing anyone when I went and adventure-brave was probably everything my sister and I did in Interlaken- canyoning and paragliding, I love adventures!

    1. OMG I’d call both of those brave!!! I could never study abroad without knowing people. I’m a big chicken. Don’t even get me started on canyoning and paragliding- I’m sweating just thinking about it 😉

Talk to me!
