Happy Valentine’s Day!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to my love, my one and only, Kyle.

I have a date night with Kyle later today. We don’t typically go out to eat (I prefer cooking for him). BUT this year he is cooking dinner for me 🙂 And I’m making dessert.

Our first Valentine’s Day together- Tahoe 2009.

In my family, Valentine’s Day was never specifically about a significant other. It was a day to tell your family and friends that you love and care about them.

We sent cards to my grandparents, my parents gave us gifts, my girl friends and I would give each other candy or something cute, etc.

So, even if you’re a hater of Valentine’s Day, I urge you to tell SOMEONE that you love or care about them. Your parents, your sibling, your pet, your grandparents, your friend. Someone! Hope you have a wonderful day!

And if you still don’t want to…

  1. Happy Valentine’s! It’s funny that you said your fam celebrates by telling each other and friends you love them- my roommate thought it was weird I got Valentines from my friends, she had never heard of a non-romantic Valentine’s!

  2. happy valentine’s day, cutie pie! i am also big on loving the people in your life today, regardless of who they might be, and making sure they know how special they are to you. love isn’t just about romance — it’s about making people feel appreciated and valued. and who doesn’t L-O-V-E that?? xo

  3. You and Kyle have the best tradition of staying in and cooking. Cause food = love, right? Your meme’s are cracking me up. I was looking for some good ones this morning and it was so hard to choose! Happy Valentine’s Day, cutie!! xo

  4. Tehe those cards are great!

Happy valentines day to you and our family, I hope you enjoy your night in and have a fabulous evening!

  5. Happy Valentine’s Day to you two! Enjoy your dinner made with love. In my family Valentine’s Day was similar, usually with my mom giving us messages in our lunch boxes on heart-shaped notes and fun little gifts like candy or pj’s with hearts.
