How to try 3 bagels with the calories of 1 bagel

Saturday started Kyle and my “Saturday Morning Bagel” tradition.

I ran 3.24 miles (pace run- run at 9:09 pace or faster) and met Kyle there. He opted to go on a mountain bike ride and road down to the shop after his cycling adventures.

The stats for my run:

8:50 pace (8:46, 8:50, 9:02, 8:12). I was pleased, especially since I got a massive stomach cramp after the first mile. No idea where that came from, especially since I hadn’t eat yet.

We bought 4 bagels- cinnamon sugar, pumpkin, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

I got to try 1/2 of a pumpkin bagel, 1/4 of a cinnamon sugar, and 1/4 of a Parmesan cheese.

This is when it’s awesome to have a boyfriend who eats a lot. He ate 2 bagels, but likes to mix and match. So, I got to try 3 different bagels, but only really ate 1 bagel. #winning

After bagels, we ran some errands AND THEN went to the pumpkin patch!

Kyle made a brilliant decision this year- We only buy 1 pumpkin from the over-priced pumpkin patch, and then buy the rest at a grocery store for 1/3 of the price.

First, we had to make sure he was tall enough to ride the rides.

He barely made the cut (it looks like he’s on his toes, but he’s not). He was so happy.

Then it was time to pick out a pumpkin. We decided on a theme for our carved pumpkins first (you’ll see later), so that we would know what (pumpkin) shape we would need. Yeah, we don’t half ass pumpkin carving.

We paid a small fortune for her and then went home and Kyle made me dinner.

Today we will carve the pumpkins. Stay tuned for the finished products!

Have a great rest of the Sunday everyone!

Do you coordinate with someone when you carve pumpkins? Duh.

Do you have any weekly traditions with your significant other?
