Thursday is date night with Kyle at my house, so after work I immediately got my easy 3 miles out of the way. This was a surprisingly easy run, like shockingly easy. Treadmill runs are usually hard for me, even if the pace is super slow. So I have no idea what was goin’ on. Maybe it was the episode of Criminal Minds I was watching?
For dinner, I made grilled chicken (made the marinade on Wednesday and let them mingle overnight), roasted asparagus, and my quinoa.
Our wild and crazy night ended with sharing a cookie from Kyle’s coworker, Modern Family, and The Big Bang Theory. someone call the cops.
Today I was excited for work. whatttt?
We had an offsite event for the Research Department at Campo di Bocce in Livermore. They provided lunch and reserved all the indoor and outdoor courts for us.
I had never really played bocce ball before, but it was a lot of fun! I didn’t start playing towards the end of the event, so my team was tied when we had to leave…we totally could have won though.
After the offsite bocce ball day, we all drove back to work and did sciencey stuff for all of an hour and a half, and then it was time for our company social. my life is so hard.
Our socials are onsite events. They provide tons of food, drinks (alcoholic and non), and they usually have a theme. This was our Halloween social, so people dressed up for the contest.
Last year a group of my friends and I won one category.
We didn’t dress up this year, but some other friends of mine dressed up.
The whole group together
So. Freaking. Cute.
So excited that the weekend is finally here. Tomorrow will consist of bagels, running, and pumpkins.
Do you carve pumpkins?
Do you dress up for Halloween at work?
What are your weekend plans?
