Hey kids! Sorry I’m posting later than usual! I normally write my post the night before, and then have it publish automatically at a certain time. But yesterday was hectic and I had no time!
So earlier this week, I called my vet because my cat has been doing this weird coughing/gagging thing that sounds kind of like she is trying to cough up a hairball, but slightly off. If I could make the sound for you right now, I would.
She had kidney problems (her kidney levels are actually normalized now, so yay! and yes I’m aware there’s no such thing as “kidney levels” but you get the idea), so she is on a special diet meant for cats with renal problems. This food can apparently make it harder for cats to cough up hairballs so he prescribed canned pumpkin to push it the other direction, if you catch my drift.
And since we’re on the topic of food, I might as well share some of my eats from this week.
The other night, my mom and I went to Trader Joe’s and they now have spaghetti squash! So excited!
So, today for lunch I had some spaghetti squash and threw in some green beans cause I’m weird like that
Also at TJ’s is one of my favorite dips.
I always forget about this until I randomly spot it in the aisle and remember how much I love it. It’s fat free which means I can eat the whole jar, right?
While we were at TJ’s, I decided that I would make fajitas on Thursday. So we bought everything…except the chicken for the fajitas. Something told me that sprouted wheat tortillas and grilled onions would not fill up Kyle and my dad. Maybe it would just make the gassy?
So Thursday after work I stopped off at TJ’s again to buy the chicken. Oh and almond butter because they did not have that earlier in the week.
And I wanted to make mine lighter
Happy start to the weekend everyone! I’m most excited for my first run with speed work (400m repeats)! I will probably report back with a much different attitude.
What was the best thing you ate this week?
Have you ever bought pumpkin for your cat? Can we be friends?
