Candy Crushing and First Aid/CPR

Thursday

WORKOUT:

Ran 3 miserable miles on the treadmill.

I woke up at 5:20 AM to get my morning run in. My legs were dead and did not want to move, probably from Wednesday’s run. It was hard, and crappy, and slow- not my usual easy 3 miler. Oh well, I started the run and finished the run. That’s all that matters. What matters more though, is that I got in a game of Candy Crush while running AND didn’t fall off the treadmill. damn you Travis!

Candy Crush
He got me hooked while we were all on vacation in Washington.

All of us Candy Crushin’ at the airport

Kyle and I joke that we must smell bad because we’ve sat down quite a few times, and then neighboring people got up to leave, like a minute later. I think this photo confirms our theory…look at that separation.

I digress. Back to Thursday. I got certified in First Aid/CPR/AED! The class was actually really fun, but also very informative. I feel more prepared for baby sitting my little cousins and punching my dad in the gut if he chokes on something.

They’ve actually changed a lot of the rules since the last time I took a class (back in high school I think). If you’re a parent, friend, family member or just around people, yeah I said that, definitely try to take a class. If you’re never EVER around people, I would suggest taking a class to have human interaction. Make some friends yo.

I made a friend AND I saved his life all in one day.

But in all seriousness, having CPR training is a great tool to have. Hope you never have to use it, but knowledge is power. #werd

Happy Friday and wish me luck on my long run tomorrow. My half marathon dry run!

Have you taken a first aid and/or CPR class?

  1. Correction, I don’t need to be choking for you to punch me in my rock hard abs….well maybe sponge cake is more correctly descriptive…but I digress.

  2. I also haven’t taken a CPR class since high school. God save anyone who chokes around me. . . I’ll be the girl panicking and finding the nearest MD.

And hello multitalented girl. Treadmill AND candycrush? I can’t even change a song on my IPOD without almost face planting into the little devil.

    1. Haha I know what you mean! I have the tools now, but I would be the one freaking out and yelling for someone to call 911

Lol treadmill and playing with my phone was probably not my best idea. I am really surprised I didn’t crash!

Talk to me!
